Winter Squares

The lake appears still, yet flows under the thinnest of ice, awaiting the warmth of the sun. Though the air contains only coldness and the ground is frozen, they glitter with each nascent ray.

The blizzard came with nature’s determination, that primal force that conquers until its energy is released. From evergreen forest to an almost white-out, set our sights on home, though more by the GPS than our eyes.

Winter portraits

The weather cold enough to make atoms shiver, the winter sun is the brightest of the year. Winter is such crystalline joy, the icy rays that show the uniqueness of this time of year.

But there is a warmth that tumbles out of the winter time when all else is cold. It radiates from those who love the snow and ice, who breathe the cold air deeply and marvel at what there is at our doorstep.

Winter Landscapes

“Let the ice crackle underfoot, for it is nothing as compared to this warm heart and the fire burning within, that steady pilot flame. That’s the thing about these tough times, the most loving win because we dig in, we get determined when the greedy cut and run. So, that winter wind with its toothy bite is nothing but excitement to me.”
